ACS - Mask Mandate Update
April 8, 2021
To All Attalla City Schools Parents/Guardians:
Based on the latest Health Order issued by Governor Kay Ivey, the Attalla City School System will not require masks or other facial coverings for students or staff effective April 12, 2021. Although we will not be requiring masks, we strongly encourage their continued use, especially when indoors or when social distancing cannot be maintained. Personal responsibility is stressed and all individuals who wish to continue wearing masks may do so. We will continue to monitor our case numbers and please know that if we have a spike in positive cases, we will make adjustments as needed. We appreciate everyone’s efforts as we have worked through the challenges of the 2020-2021 school year and we certainly hope that a full return to normal is in our near future.
