My name is Nate Ayers and it is an honor to serve the Attalla community as the principal of Etowah High School. On a personal note I am in my fifteenth year in education and my sixth with Attalla City Schools.  Prior to coming to Etowah High School I served as the assistant principal at Etowah Middle School for four years.  Before I came to Attalla I taught science at Holly Pond High School. While at HPHS I was able to coach football, basketball, and track and field.  I am a lifelong learner who believes that every student deserves a chance to define what success is to them and have an opportunity to go after it.  I am an Auburn Fan (WAR EAGLE) but as hard as it is for me to say I completed my Doctorate degree at The University of Alabama.  I have been married to the love of my life (Laney) since 2008 and we have two crazy children (Parker 10) and (Walker 7). 

As a school we strive to give our students the best education we can offer while at the same time offering a vast number of extra curriculuar options.  Our school currently holds dual enrollment partnerships with four local colleges (The University of Alabama, Jacksonville State University, Gadsden State Community College, and Snead State Community College) while also allowing our students to participate in multiple AP programs.   Career tech education is also extremely important at EHS.  Our school not only partners with the ECCTC but, is also currently home to eight career tech departments which allow our students an opportunity to see what real-life careers look like in those fields of study.  Today, just like everyday is A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE DEVIL!!
